Returning Citizens Are Trained and Ready to Work
Skilled to Build Michigan Foundation has partnered with the Department of Corrections on helping to place returning citizens into careers in the residential construction industry. These individuals have attended the Vocational Village (a training program within the Department of Corrections) and when they return to society, they have the skills needed to become contributing members of society. This one-hour session will highlight the Vocational Village Program and the steps you need to take if you are interested in helping a returning citizen become a productive member of society.
Speakers: Ryan Powell, CBSP, Manager, Offender Employment and Opportunities Unit, MDOC
